Will missed Alicia, more than he really should. Both knew this was a dangerous road to go, but he just couldn't give her up again. He was falling back in love with her at a very fast pace. He told her to come over to his place, and he sat and waited.

He knew she'd come if she could get away. If she didn't well, he would hope something kept her away.

Alicia didn't keep Will waiting long. She wasn't like that, and especially not when she was falling back in love with him too. It only took her about twenty minutes to drive over to his place, and when he opened the door the smile she gave him would tell him that his feelings were very much reciprocated.

"I came right over from work," she told him. "And I was thinking of getting a shower. Do you mind if I...?"

What she was really insinuating was an excuse to use his shower. With him in it. They'd been apart for awhile and when that happened, she always wanted him to reclaim her. And Alicia knew Will would be smart enough to know that.

"Thanks."

Alicia smiled back at him, setting her handbag by his door as he closed the door behind her. She walked into his bedroom, kicking off her heels and tossing her suit jacket on his bed.

She'd been thinking, wanting to make some gesture to offer him a more serious commitment than furtive meetings in hotel rooms. But she wasn't sure if Will wanted anything to change and upset their lives like that.

So instead there she stood in her dress, smiling over her shoulder at him. She liked when they undressed each other, the intimacy and couplehood of it.

"Would you mind getting my zipper?"

Alicia shivered at his lips on her skin, and how he slowly peeled the dress off of her, sliding it down her body. She let it pool at her feet, leaving it there as she turned to face him.

"I always liked this shirt on you," she told him as she pushed his jacket off his shoulders and worked on undoing his tie. Will would be able to tell she had something on her mind, but whether or not he wanted to hear it now would be his decision.

Alicia paused, with his tie in her hand and her other planted squarely against his chest.

"Just something I wanted to ask you. I've been thinking, and...I'd like to make our relationship more serious."

A small smile. It felt weird having this conversation when she was just in that red lacy lingerie set he always loved on her, but she was ready to have it.

"I'm prepared to ask Peter for a trial separation."

Not a divorce, not yet. There was too much to be worked out, and too much emotionally to jump right to that. Considering Peter didn't even know that she was seeing Will again.

"But before I do, I need to ask you for a commitment," she said. "I don't want to divorce him, whenever it happens, to marry you and then you're not here anymore."

Maybe it was cagey, but their affair had already fallen apart once.

"I just want to know you won't leave."

She kissed him back as she worked on unbuttoning his shirt, all while holding his gaze.

"When I'm ready to divorce Peter - when the time is right - I want to marry you. I want to know you'll be here ready to marry me."

She smiled more at that, she'd pictured it a few times. The two of them getting married, and putting all this complicated stuff and the sneaking around and the political glare behind them.

"That's what I wanted to hear."

Not that she was expecting him to get her an engagement ring or anything. But as long as she knew he would be waiting for her, she felt comfortable moving forward to get out of her marriage.

She got his shirt undone and pushed it off his shoulders.

"Come on. I'm looking forward to taking a long, hot shower with you."
